As an artist, my work is focused on exploring the recollection of thoughts, not solely directed towards memories and nostalgia, but also the evolution of objects and characters in our daily lives. I strive to represent the fusion and romance between past and present by arranging and disarranging local entities, public figures, graphic and real-life characters.
My work is driven by a fascination with the artefacts that are linked to our experiences. I am interested in exploring how individuals perceive and relate to these objects in unique ways, whether positively or negatively. My artistic strategy involves using familiar objects like fruits, sweets, fictional characters, internet icons, and toys as a means to connect with viewers through common notions that everyone can identify with.
My work draws inspiration from trends and themes from the 90s and early 2000s, which many generations relate to as a time of significant evolution in technology, society, and cultural norms. People often seek to find connections to this period, as it reminds them of a simpler time or provides a sense of familiarity. My art manipulates the mind in this way, as it seeks to provide a sense of belonging and connection to an ever-evolving universe.
In my work, physical appearance may sometimes be compromised, but the story always remains compact because, in the end, it is the narrative that truly matters. Through my art, I aim to explore the ways in which our experiences and perceptions shape our understanding of the world, and to inspire others to see the beauty in the evolving nature of our lives.
