Gallery 6 is the largest private art gallery in the capital city of Islamabad. The gallery was established in March 2008 with the mission of promoting Pakistani art to the world. Since its inception, the gallery has held more than 80 exhibitions locally and internationally.
In 2015, the gallery introduced the Arjumand Painting Award to recognize and promote emerging Pakistani painters. The gallery currently has one of the world’s largest collections of Pakistani art, including drawings, paintings and prints by master, established and emerging Pakistani artists, whose works reflect creative intelligence and originality.
Gallery 6 is managed by Arjumand Faisel and Usama Arjumand. Arjumand Faisel, a Doctor of Medicine, has been supporting the arts in Pakistan over two decades. He received his Masters in Public Health from the East-West Centre, Hawaii, and has previously worked for USAID, WHO and his own consulting firm Arjumand And Associates. Outside the gallery, Arjumand also heads the East-West Islamabad Chapter and is on the Board of Trustees of the House of Light School, a not-for-profit school providing free education to children in Pind Begwal.
Usama Arjumand is a tech entrepreneur who received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK. Usama currently heads Shopsy.pk, a seach engine that uses machine learning and AI to help online shoppers find the best price from over 1,000,000 products in Pakistan.
