Syed Rizwan Riz, born in 1991 in Faisalabad, Pakistan, is a distinguished calligraphy artist. He honed his skills under the mentorship of the esteemed calligrapher Sir Ejaz Yousafi, dedicating two years to mastering ornamental calligraphy, with a particular emphasis on Moroccan and Italian styles.
Artistic Style and Medium
Rizwan's artwork is renowned for its intricate compositions that seamlessly blend traditional Islamic calligraphy with elaborate ornamentation. His pieces often feature Quranic verses, such as “Ayatul Kursi,” Surah Fatiha, Surah Falaq, and Surah Nas, rendered in mixed media formats including oil, gouache, and gold leaf on canvas.
