Born in Gujranwala, Pakistan, Samra Cheema exhibited a natural affinity for art from a young age. Despite initial familial expectations steering her towards a conventional career path, her passion for art remained unwavering. She pursued formal education in the arts, obtaining a Diploma in Ceramics from the National College of Arts. In 2013, she completed her MA from the Punjab University College of Art and Design, followed by an MFA in Visual Arts in 2017.
Artistic Style and Themes
Cheema's artistic expression is characterized by the use of oil paints and a distinctive technique of applying paint directly with her fingers, creating textured, coral reef-like forms. Nature, particularly marine life, serves as a significant inspiration in her work, symbolizing various elements and emotions.

Her work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions both within Pakistan and internationally.
