Ramsha Haider

Ramsha Haider, born in 1997, is a visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. She graduated with distinction in Fine Arts from the National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore, specializing in miniature painting.

Artistic Style and Themes
Haider's work is characterized by a fusion of traditional miniature painting techniques with contemporary themes. She often employs gouache on wasli paper, a traditional medium in South Asian miniature art.
Her art delves into introspective themes, exploring self-discovery, spirituality, and the human connection to nature. Inspired by classical Sufi literature, particularly Fariduddin Attar’s Conference of the Birds, Haider's work reflects metaphysical journeys and internal explorations.

Notable Works and Exhibitions
One of her significant series, Heavenly Chaos, examines the fluidity and apparent randomness in nature, suggesting an underlying harmony that governs the cosmos. This series is notable for its striking blue palette, evoking the primordial waters from which life is believed to have originated.

Haider's work has been featured in several prominent exhibitions:

Contemporaneous at Khaas Art Gallery in Islamabad, where her pieces like Muzakra and Aina presented fragmented narratives open to interpretation.

Notes From Elsewhere at Artscape Gallery, a group show highlighting contemporary miniature artists from across Pakistan.

Heavenly Bodies at Gallery 6 in Islamabad, where her Heavenly Chaos series was showcased.
