Her prints and embroideries were also featured in Lahore Biennale 03 as part of Nilofar Akmut’s installation at the YMCA.

Artistic Practice
Mehreen’s work explores the concept and function of home by deconstructing its visible structure. Using found domestic materials such as wallpapers, cardboard, aluminum foil, and discarded picture frames, she creates monotypes, collages, and sculptural forms. Her art reflects feelings of alienation and displacement within domestic spaces, which she transforms into theatrical sets where each inhabitant plays a role. These scenes unfold like splayed specimens in display boxes, inviting viewers to engage with the narratives within everyday home environments.
