Hifza Khan (b. 1988) is a Pakistani visual artist, researcher, and art educator based in Rawalpindi. She graduated with distinction in Miniature Painting from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore, in 2012, receiving distinction for her thesis project. She currently teaches Miniature Painting at NCA’s Rawalpindi Campus while pursuing an MA-AE, SVAD at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore.

Working across contemporary miniature painting, drawing, and interdisciplinary practice, Khan explores themes of memory, identity, gender, belonging, and ecological interconnectedness. Her practice brings together traditional miniature techniques and contemporary visual languages, transforming natural forms into poetic metaphors that reflect on women’s lived experiences, resilience, and the relationship between body and landscape.

Khan has exhibited extensively in Pakistan and internationally, with notable exhibitions at the Pakistan Pavilion at COP28, Dubai; PNCA, Islamabad; Satrang Gallery, Islamabad; Ejaz Art Gallery, Lahore; Artsoch Gallery, Lahore; Artescape Gallery, Islamabad; and Art-Chowk Gallery, Karachi. Her recent exhibitions include *Rare Vistas* (Art-Chowk Gallery, 2024), *Layers of Becoming* (Ejaz Art Gallery, 2025), *Six Visions, One Tradition* (Main Frame Gallery, 2026), *Reframed Realities* (Muse Art Gallery, 2026), and *Manzar Nama* (Satrang Art Gallery, 2026).

Her wider exhibition practice includes participation in the Miniature Collective project at the NCA Lahore Triennial (2025), as well as the faculty exhibitions *X* and *Scope*. Khan has also participated in the Arjumand Painting Award in 2023 and 2025. Her work is held in private and institutional collections, including the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotel, Karachi.

Alongside her studio practice, Khan is actively engaged in art education, research, and mentorship. Through her teaching and critical pedagogical approach, she encourages dialogue between contemporary artistic practice, cultural memory, and socially engaged inquiry, while exploring how traditional miniature painting can evolve and remain relevant within contemporary visual culture.
