Hadia Rizwan
Hadia Rizwan (b. 2002, Gujrat) is a Pakistani visual artist whose practice focuses on realistic figurative painting and the exploration of human emotion. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Gujrat in 2025, graduating with distinction.
Working primarily in oil on canvas, Rizwan is interested in capturing the subtle emotions and expressions found in everyday life. Her paintings often focus on individual figures and moments of stillness, using detailed observation, realistic rendering, and restrained compositions to convey the emotional presence of her subjects. Her practice reflects an interest in the relationship between outward appearance and inner experience, allowing ordinary moments to become subjects of quiet reflection.
Rizwan has participated in exhibitions and art platforms including the Arjumand Painting Award, Gallery 21, and VM Art Gallery. She presented her online solo exhibition *Echoes of The Inner Self* with No. 35 Gallery and was selected for *New Cadence*, a group exhibition at Gallery 6, Islamabad, in 2026, featuring fourteen emerging artists associated with the National Biennial Arjumand Painting Award 2025.
Through her developing practice, Rizwan continues to explore the expressive possibilities of realistic painting, using the human figure and its subtle expressions to create works that connect personal experience with universal emotion.
