Current Position
Professor Muhammad Asif Sharif has been serving as the Director of the Faculty of Architecture, Design & Fine Arts (FADFA) at the University of Gujrat since 2014. His leadership has significantly contributed to the development of academic programs and artistic practices within the institution.

Education and Academic Background
Prof. Muhammad Asif earned his Bachelor in Fine Arts from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore in 1999. He further pursued his academic journey at NCA by completing an M.A. (Hons.) in Visual Arts in 2003. His deep commitment to the arts and education has been a driving force throughout his career.

Artistic Practice
A distinguished sculptor and fresco painting artist, Prof. Asif Sharif’s work reflects both technical mastery and a deep cultural awareness. He has held five solo exhibitions at the national level and has participated in numerous group exhibitions on both national and international platforms. His art practice bridges traditional techniques and contemporary expressions.

Recognition and Awards
In recognition of his artistic talent and potential, Prof. Muhammad Asif was awarded the Bursary from the Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust, London, in 2004—an esteemed accolade that supports mid-career Pakistani artists for further development.

Teaching and Academic Service
Prof. Asif has served at several prestigious art institutions in Pakistan, including:

Pakistan Institute of Fashion & Design (PIFD)

College of Art, Design & Architecture, University of the Punjab, Lahore

Through these roles, he has mentored generations of artists and designers, contributing to the evolution of contemporary art education in Pakistan.
