Asad Asghar

Asad Asghar is a Pakistani visual artist and graphic designer known for his socially conscious artworks and contributions to the contemporary art scene in Pakistan.

Education and Background
Asad Asghar hails from Mansehra, Pakistan. He completed his undergraduate studies in Art and Design at Hazara University, Mansehra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Science degree at the National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore.

Artistic Practice and Themes
Asghar's work encompasses painting, illustration, and graphic design. He often addresses environmental and social issues through his art. In a 2018 climate change-themed exhibition in Islamabad, he presented landscape paintings that highlighted the degradation of natural environments, expressing concern over human-induced environmental damage.
In another exhibition, Asghar created posters with the slogan “stop killing yourself, stop cutting trees,” drawing attention to deforestation and its impact on climate change .

Asghar directed a project featuring Pakistan's largest watercolor portrait, created by Sheen Artisans, a team he leads. The portrait was unveiled on August 14, symbolizing national pride.
